The practices included in your stay

Your shaman explains each practice and discusses suitability before participation. Bath times are arranged around the ceremony schedule.

Piñón negro purgative ceremony

A traditional plant preparation practice at the beginning of your retreat, scheduled for Day 2. Our shamans describe its intention as purification and preparation for a relationship with the plant spirits. One session is included in each package; the Private Retreat includes a private session. This is the Piñón negro cleansing practice, distinct from Piñón blanco plant dieta. Your shaman explains what participation involves.

Ayahuasca ceremonies & icaros

The standard stay includes three evening ceremonies. A dedicated shaman guides the sessions through icaros. The Sacred Private Retreat is for one guest with two shamans; Personal welcomes up to two guests, and Circle up to six. The limited-time extension adds one complimentary ceremony.

You may follow the same retreat arrangements without drinking ayahuasca and listen to the icaros. Discuss your participation before booking.

Flower baths

Flower baths are a separate plant bathing practice. Within our team’s tradition, they are used with the intention of spiritual cleansing and opening the senses for ceremony. Personal and Circle include flower baths on ceremony days; Private includes daily flower baths. Your hosts explain the bathing arrangements and ingredients before you participate.

Shipibo plant steam baths

A plant vapour bathing practice, also described as a plant sauna. Our shamans associate it with cleansing and spiritual protection. Personal and Circle include one session; Private includes four. Discuss heat tolerance, health conditions and comfort with the team before participation.

Closing icaros & spiritual protection

Your shaman sings closing icaros during your final ayahuasca ceremony, asking for spiritual protection as you prepare to return home. This takes place in the third ceremony for the standard stay or the fourth for the extended stay. It is part of the ceremony, not another separately counted session.
